Michelle Clark serves as Director, Marketing and Strategic Partnerships at Management Concepts. Prior to joining Management Concepts, Michelle worked in the transportation, adult learning, financial, and energy verticals as well as numerous non-profit organizations. Michelle holds a BA in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics and Government and a MS in Justice, Law and Society from American University and is a certified PMP. In her free time, she plays basketball and tennis, loves to travel and maintains a very heavy social schedule for her son, Justin.
Tom Dungan III
Tom Dungan III serves as CEO at Management Concepts. During Tom’s tenure, the company has successfully grown ten-fold. In addition to Management Concepts, Tom is also President of Andover Investments, LLC, a holding company for investment activity in banking and real estate activities, and sits on the board of directors for Virginia Heritage Bank and the Professional Services Council. Tom is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and served in various roles including Chapter Chairman. He is a Certified Public Accountant and worked previously with Arthur Andersen. Tom holds the a BBA in Accounting from the College of William and Mary.
Debbie Eshelman serves as Managing Director at Management Concepts. In this role, she advises senior leaders in the private sector and Federal government agencies on talent management, performance improvement, and leadership development. Prior to joining Management Concepts, Debbie was a Principal Consultant in KornFerry’s Leadership and Talent Consulting government practice. In this role she led numerous consulting projects focused in the areas of leadership and human capital management. Debbie also previously served as a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she led top strategic accounts for the firm. Debbie holds a BA in education from the University of Florida and an MS in human resource development from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
For more than 20 years, Ruth Famojuro has been an instructional designer and Subject Matter Expert for Management Concepts, developing portions of the Grants Management Certificate Program™ and other custom curricula. She holds a BA in History from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, a Graduate Certificate in Library and Intellectual Property in Distance Education & eLearning.
Lahaja serves as Practice Director, Human Capital Consulting for Management Concepts. In this role, she is responsible for the design and implementation of change, development, and performance management. Lahaja is a Prosci™ Certified Change Management Practitioner and Leadership Coach with experience providing culture assessments to strengthen business performance and build organizational capability; strategy alignment; leadership program design, assessment, and facilitation; talent and comprehensive change initiatives; and succession planning. Lahaja holds a BA from Howard University and a graduate degree from the University of Michigan.
Paul Lohnes serves as a Senior Consultant for Project & Program Management at Management Concepts. In this role, he serves as a subject matter expert for the creation and delivery of IT project and program management content. In addition to working with Management Concepts, Paul has been active in project management for more than 34 years, beginning soon after he left the Navy in 1981. He has developed more than 60 technical, business, and management courses and seminars and has delivered those to 10,000+ attendees in more than 100 events. He is an internationally renowned project and risk manager speaker drawing on his 30+ years of public speaking and educational experiences and skills, including holding teaching positions at both UC Berkeley in California, and the State University of New York’s Institute of Technology in Utica, Rome. Paul holds a BS in Computer Science from Regents College and an MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He is also PMI PMP certified.
Stephen Maier serves as President of Management Concepts and as a member of its advisory board. He joined Management Concepts in 2011, bringing more than 30 years of leadership experience to his role in the company. Steve oversees the implementation of the company strategy focused on achieving its mission of unleashing the potential of individuals, teams, and organizations. Before joining Management Concepts, Steve served as Vice President & General Manager of Government Solutions at SpringCM, Inc. Prior to that, he held positions in executive management, operations, sales, and marketing roles in learning, publishing, technology, defense, and manufacturing companies focusing on accelerating business growth while rapidly expanding an organization’s ability to operate as an efficient high-performance team. Steve is a graduate of the University of Michigan, with a BS in Computer & Information Science. He received his MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
Peter Olin is an Editorial Assistant at Management Concepts, helping with a variety of tasks such as editing and production. He graduated from Penn State with a BA in Journalism and Political Science. During college, Peter was a columnist for the student newspaper, the Daily Collegian, writing about topics such as politics, music, campus culture, and mental health. In his spare time, he likes to spin records, play video games, and cook.
Steven Simpson serves as General Counsel at Management Concepts. In his role, Steven is responsible for providing the highest quality and most relevant legal advice to ensure the company can achieve its business goals. His advice covers the range of the company’s internal and external activities, including employment matters, government and commercial contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property protection, licensing, and regulatory compliance. Steven also chairs the company’s Risk Committee. Prior to joining Management Concepts, Steven spent time at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, United States Department of State, and International Labor Organization. Steven holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester and graduated summa cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law. He also graduated with highest honors from The George Washington University Law School with a Master of Laws in Government Procurement Law. Steven is a member of the New York, District of Columbia, and Virginia bars.
Teidi Tucker serves as the Product Management Director for Project & Program Management at Management Concepts. In this role, she leads the creation and implementation of project and program management, business analysis, systems engineering, Agile, and IT development programs for Federal and private sector clients. Prior to joining Management Concepts, Teidi was a business development and sales executive at Communispond, Productivity Point International and Paladin Software. Teidi holds a BA from San Diego Mesa College and studied at the Art Institute of Atlanta and University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. In her free time, Teidi spends time with her husband and menagerie of animals in San Diego.
