How We Help You Achieve: DEIA Executive Order

OPM’s Chief Diversity Officers Executive Council held their first meeting on September 29th, 2022, to work on developing a strategy, a move required by the previous year’s executive order. President Biden issued the Executive Order in June of 2021, requiring Federal agencies to expand training on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). We want to ensure that every federal employee receives this training.

We’ve developed a new course, Exploring Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, that combines our existing DEIA training with new content that will help your organization adhere to the latest updates in DEIA policy. This course will provide an overview of diversity and inclusion principles while emphasizing their importance for fulfilling agency missions. The course is now open for registration on the website!

Our Commitment to DEIA

DEIA is a critical part of our mission, and now, we’re excited to make sure that we can help make it a part of yours as well. Our goal is to help federal agencies fulfill the Executive Order’s requirements with our DEIA course, which you can access on our website.

We’re committed to ensuring that every federal employee receives training on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

It’s not just about learning that you’re biased. It’s about understanding what causes the bias, how it affects others and yourself, and how to address it. We’ll also cover the impact of unconscious bias on organizational cultures and strategies for addressing these issues.

We believe that DEIA is critical for each individual in an organization to have a basic understanding of how they can create a workplace culture that values diversity and inclusion.

Our expert instructors will walk each participant through:

  • Fostering psychological safety in the workplace
  • Analyzing components of social identity to become more self-aware
  • Using strategies to recognize and combat unconscious bias
  • Creating a plan to advocate for DEIA in the workplace

At Management Concepts, we want every federal employee to receive training on diversity, equity, and inclusion. We know there’s a lot of work yet to be done before that goal is achieved—but with our new course, we can get closer than ever before.

Sign up for Exploring Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and stay tuned for updates about our upcoming DEIA courses.
