Keynote Speakers in High-Level Federal Leadership
Keynote speakers included heavy hitters in government and the private sector who addressed the most pressing needs of today’s senior leadership. Among these speakers were Ambassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at the U.S. Department of State; Kiran Ahuja, Director, Office of Personnel Management; and Robin Carnahan, Administrator, General Services Administration. These speakers tackled top-of-mind issues regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in federal government, organizational culture, workforce resilience, and the changing needs of today’s federal workforce.

Career civil servants are the backbone of the Federal workforce. As career senior executives and rising leaders, you have persisted through unprecedented challenges to deliver on your agencies’ missions, oftentimes without due recognition or fanfare. This Administration could not accomplish the important work we do on behalf of the American people without your essential contributions.
I applaud the Senior Executives Association for holding this summit, which will strengthen the cohesion and collaboration of senior leaders across our government. By bringing together experts and drawing on the experience of Federal career leaders, you are providing additional tools for career civil servants to rise to the pressing challenges we face and help America to continue leading in the 21st century and for centuries to come.
