FEW Virtual Leadership Summit II: Soaring to New Heights

Management Concepts was proud to “Soar to New Heights” at the 2021 Federally Employed Women (FEW) Virtual Leadership Summit II, August 9-13, 2021. The annual national training program was held online for the second year and included multiple training and networking opportunities, awards ceremonies, and a virtual exhibit hall.

Leadership Course

Our extremely popular leadership course reached its registration cap for the sixth year in a row. Over the course of two days, participants explored 4 of the 30 modules of the Professional Government Supervisor Program, with content aligned to the Office of Personnel Management Supervisory Training Framework and Senior Executive Service ECQs. Presenter Angela Kochuba energized participants by combining engaging lecture materials with plenty of interaction and camaraderie through group discussions. Topics covered included:

  • Building Relationships Through Collaboration
  • Cultivating Motivation and Engagement
  • Managing Change
  • Mentoring

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants received a joint FEW-Management Concepts certificate of attendance for CE credit.

Virtual Booth

As an emerald sponsor, we welcomed hundreds of attendees to our virtual booth, chatting through instant messaging and video calls. Of the many training and professional development opportunities we showcased at the booth, one of the most popular topics of conversation was our Women in Leadership course. This course is designed for professional women who aspire to develop their careers by embracing leadership roles or have current leadership responsibilities and want to expand on their skills and overcome potential challenges associated with women in the workforce. It also offers the opportunity for women to engage with other women, increase their support networks, and further define their leadership styles and mindsets.

Visitors to the booth also had the opportunity to view “Insights from Experts: Virtual Learning and Lessons Learned During the Pandemic,” a roundtable of key Management Concepts staff in charge of curriculum development and technology solutons for over 250 virtual course offerings.

Leadership Certificate Scholarship

One of the highlights of the partnership between Management Concepts and FEW is our Leadership Certificate Program Scholarship. This competitive selection process includes an evaluation of professional qualifications, community activities, honors and awards, personal essays, and professional recommendations. The winner receives complimentary training courses to earn a Management Concepts Leadership Certificate. Michelle Clark, Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships at Management Concepts, was pleased to announce Ms. Tara Bullock as the winner of this year’s scholarship. Karen Rainey, the president of FEW, also offered her congratulations to Ms. Bullock.
